Solar based heating system with a seasonal heat storage unit as the central element
Inspite of all efforts, the conversion to environmentally friendly heating systems, which generally use the sun as the main energy source, is proceeding sluggishly. Not only high prices are responsible, but also the complexity and the extended time and effort of installation that results. There are architecural limitations as well by trying to integrate large volume sorage units into living spaces.
These issues gave us the incentive to develop a universal heating system as free from these problems as possible. The (seasonal heat storage unit) as a solution,was the primary focus of our attention.
Environmentally friendly heating systems will only become a real alternative to conventional heating systems, when the developer has the possibility to position large storage elements in a user-defined manner. That’s why we designed a storage unit that is universally applicable. Whether inside or outside of the living space, underground or above ground, free standing or in a barn, there are no restrictions.
Due to the high rate of integration, with most of the components for heating and hot water system including the control system already installed, the time and effort needed for installation are substantially reduced. For the remaining necessary components no additional engineering room is necessary.
Completely insulated with an inner expansion tank with only three pipe pairs for connection to the solar thermal system and household piping. Heating and hot water production take place inside the insulation jacket making insulation of the piping and components unnecessary. All of these measures lead to a drastic reduction in the hidden costs.
The ingenious hydraulic system needs fewer components, as one would expect. The energy from the producers is directly available to the consumers without being temporarily stored in the tank. In this way unnecessary „stirring“ in the storage unit, which has a counterproductive effect on the temperature layering, can be effectively avoided.
We‘ve designed the tank with a rectangular shape to save space. During the entire building phase there’s nothing that could delay or prolong the construction progress. Complete heat management makes our system stand out.
The control system‘s ability to be connected to the internet makes worldwide monitoring, diagnosis, maintenance, and adjustment possible. The system is also expandable for other functions in case new components come into play.
Even the integration of other functions outside the heating system such as control of shutters or blinds is possible.
